On-Page SEO
On-page SEO is everything on the page itself: the keyword it targets, the title, the headings, the content and the links. We make sure every page has one clear job and does it well.

What Is On-Page SEO?

On-page SEO is the first of the three pillars of SEO and AI search. It covers what is on each page: which keyword it targets, how it is titled and structured, what it says and how it links to the rest of your site.
The most common problem we see is pages without a clear job. Two pages target the same search and compete with each other, or a page tries to rank for everything and ends up ranking for nothing. Before anything gets rewritten, we map which page should rank for which search.
Then we make each page answer the problems your customers actually have. A landlord with several properties and a family with a burst pipe need the same plumber, but they search differently and want different answers. Good on-page SEO speaks to both.

Signs Your Pages Need On-Page SEO
The wrong page ranks for your main service
Usually a sign two pages are competing. We decide which one should rank and adjust the other.
You rank on page two or three but never higher
Often the page is relevant but does not answer the search as well as the pages above it.
Your service pages are one generic page
A single page titled “Plumbing” or “Services” rarely ranks. Each service needs its own page.
Visitors leave without getting in touch
The page might rank but not answer what people want to know, or make it hard to take the next step.

Straight answers to the questions we get asked most. Can’t see yours?
Ask us directlyMy pages are indexed but don’t rank. What’s the difference between on-page and technical SEO?
On-page SEO is about what is on each page, such as keywords, content, headings and links, while technical SEO is about how the site works, such as speed, indexing and structure. Indexed pages that don’t rank usually need on-page work.
Two of my pages keep swapping places in Google. What is keyword cannibalisation?
Keyword cannibalisation is when two or more of your pages target the same search and compete with each other. It usually means neither ranks as well as one strong page would.
I like my existing copy. Does on-page SEO mean rewriting the whole page?
On-page SEO only means rewriting where it is needed. Sometimes a new title and a clearer structure are enough, and sometimes the content needs rebuilding around what customers want to know.
Does on-page SEO help with AI search?
On-page SEO helps with AI search, because clear headings with short, direct answers make it easier for AI tools to understand and quote your pages.
How long does on-page SEO take to work?
How long on-page SEO takes depends on your site, your competition and where you are starting from. Every business is different, so we will not put a timeline on it until we have seen your site.
